This Sunday, the 28th of May, sees another Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society's 'Brissie to the Bay' (and back) fun bike ride to raise money for the MS Society. LandZooom.com will be there, riding the Trikke T12 Roadster on the recreational 10km route. This will certainly be a test for me as the Chief Zooomer of LandZooom.com, and the longest distance I will have ridden in one riding session.

The 10km recreational route travels from Orleigh Park along Montague Road, before joining the river and travelling through to Southbank, over the Goodwill Green Bridge, under the riverside expressway, back over Victoria Bridge, then around the river returning to Orleigh Park.

I will be on the ground from 7:30 am demonstrating the Trikke T12 Roadster at the start and finish lines, and will join the recreational riders who set off at 8:30 am. I should return to the start/finish area between 9:30 and 10:00am, and will then be riding around providing anyone who is interested with free rides on the Trikke.

Trikke (pronounced tri-ike) three-wheeled cambering machines are human-powered vehicles that use Trikke Tech’s patented 3CV technology to allow a rider to propel this chainless, pedal-less vehicle forward without ever needing to touch the feet to the ground. This visually simple design provides a very stable 3-point platform, allowing the rider to lean their weight into turns while keeping all three wheels in contact with the ground.

Trikke vehicles can reach speeds of up to 29 kilometres per hour on flat ground, be ridden up to 80 kilometres a day, and with significant practice can climb very steep hills (yes it can be done!).
